October Sunsets

October has been the month of the most beautiful sunsets. And happily, sunset has coincided with the end of the working day; so we’ve made the most.

We managed two long swims this month. Taking the Life Bikes from King Alfred to the marina and then swimming back. Discovering the the buoys along the way – alas we couldn’t emancipate them. Both times swimming on neap-ish tides with minimal current assist.  The waters around Kemptown were crystal clear which made for some very enjoyable swimming.

As the clocks have gone back and the nights draw in earlier; the water temperature feels to have dropped all of a sudden. It’s not all sunsets and sparkling seas, but spectacular all the same. Water temperature 11°c and plummeting…

eleven degrees
